Will work with caveats
- Moderate barrel distortion — workable, but expect some grid bow. Calibration recommended for best accuracy.

Will your camera and projector
actually fit your table?
Pick your gear, drop it onto a 3D pool room, and see live whether the coverage cone reaches every corner of the felt before you spend a dollar. Logged-in members can paste a model name and let our AI fill the specs in.
Why this matters
FusionCue lives or dies on whether the camera sees every ball and the projector paints every pocket. Most rooms have an 8-foot ceiling and a 7- or 8-foot table — the geometry is tighter than it looks.
Camera rules
- • Mount it directly above the table (anywhere over the rails is fine)
- • 80°+ horizontal FOV is comfortable on an 8 ft ceiling
- • Aim for 20+ pixels per ball for accurate detection
- • 1080p is enough; 4K is overkill but doesn't hurt
Projector rules
- • Throw ratio ≤ 1.0 lets you mount short with no keystone
- • 2,000+ lumens beats normal room lights
- • 1080p native is enough; 4K just gives sharper grid lines
- • Lens shift saves you when you can't mount dead-center
