10-Ball (beta)
Refereed 10-ball against the ghost or a friend — 9-ball's rules on ten balls, scored by the camera, with no called shots.
10-Ball is in beta. It is playable today and marked BETA in the app because it is still being developed — rules, screens and graphics may change between updates.
10-Ball plays exactly like 9-Ball with one more ball: hit the lowest ball first, any ball in keeps you at the table, and a legal shot that sinks the 10 wins the rack. The game screen, the camera's calls, ball in hand, fixing a call and run-out advice all work as in 9-ball.
No called shots
In tournament 10-ball every shot is called. The camera can't see which pocket you called, so FusionCue doesn't ask: a legal shot that sinks the 10 wins, combos included, as in 9-ball. Call your shots amongst yourselves if you want to.
Setting up a match
Open 10-BALL on the Games page and press PLAY for you against the ghost, or LOCAL MULTI for two players at one table. The settings are 9-ball's, with 10-ball presets:
- Pro — WPA 10-ball with a 30-second shot clock: alternate breaks from the kitchen, the 10 on the break is spotted, push out, three fouls lose the rack, race to 9.
- WPA — the same with no clock.
- Casual — no push out, no three-foul rule, race to 5.
Every rule under the preset can be changed: Race to, Ghost, Break, Camera fouls, and the switches Push out, Three-ball rule, Three fouls lose the rack, 10 on the break wins, Shot clock (30 s) and Allow run-out advice.
The 10 on the break
With the 10-ball presets, a 10 pocketed on the break is spotted and the breaker shoots on. Turn on 10 on the break wins to make it win the rack instead (a golden break, as in 9-ball).
Things to know
- Ball call-outs — after each shot FusionCue says what it counted ("Fourteen. Fifteen.") and asks aloud about a ball it lost track of. Turn them off in the game's settings under Audio & voice → Ball call-outs.
- There's no three-ball rule in the presets; switch it on if you play it.
- 10-Ball plays on the v8s v5 ball model with exact ball matching, as 9-ball does.
- Game history — matches aren't saved to your game stats yet.
- If the game's card says Coming soon, Paused or Unavailable, it isn't open for your account right now.
